Agibot G2 robots complete 24-hour service trial in retail environment

Four out of six Agibot G2 robots passed a 24-hour operational trial in a convenience store, performing 1,730 tasks ranging from customer service to store maintenance.

Chinese robotics firm Agibot conducted a 24-hour performance trial involving six G2 robots in a retail store setting. The robots were tasked with handling customer service, coffee preparation, restocking, and cleaning. Across the trial period, the units completed 1,730 tasks, including 683 customer interactions.

Following the trial, four units were deemed successful in their assigned roles. Two units failed to meet performance standards: one showed insufficient activity during restocking, and another deviated from its designated workstation while cleaning. The results highlight the ongoing challenges in maintaining robot consistency within unpredictable retail environments.

The robots are powered by the GO-3 Preview model, which utilizes a World Reasoning Action Model (WRAM) architecture. This system is designed to allow robots to infer tasks and generate actions without human intervention. Agibot plans to release the model as open-source software by the end of 2026.
