Agilent and Mettler Toledo Collaborate to Reduce Lab Workflows Errors
Agilent Technologies and METTLER TOLEDO have partnered to enhance laboratory accuracy by reducing errors in sample preparation. The collaboration automates and digitalizes the transfer of weighing results.

Agilent Technologies has announced a collaboration with METTLER TOLEDO aimed at improving laboratory measurements by reducing errors during the sample preparation phase, a critical step in many laboratory workflows. The new solution automates the digital transfer of weighing results from METTLER TOLEDO LabX software to Agilent OpenLab software.
This global partnership addresses bottlenecks and error sources in the sample preparation process, which can lead to costly investigations or rework. The integrated solution minimizes or eliminates manual data transfer, significantly increasing laboratory productivity and reliability.
The solution incorporates the Sample Scheduler feature of the Agilent OpenLab CDS system, which retrieves weighing data directly from METTLER TOLEDO LabX software. This data can then be seamlessly routed to any of the laboratory's chromatographic instruments.
"This collaboration with METTLER TOLEDO brings a truly digital user experience to the operation of chromatographic instruments," stated Jacob Thaysen, president of Agilent's Life Sciences and Applied Markets Group. The solution helps customers build their future laboratories by improving results and streamlining processes.
