Agilent Technologies and Sound Analytics have announced a collaboration to deliver an integrated liquid chromatography–triple quadrupole mass spectrometry (LC/MS) workflow. The new solution is designed to support drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics (DMPK) laboratories in biopharmaceutical and pharmaceutical research.

The integration combines Agilent's 1290 Infinity III Liquid Chromatography system and 6495D triple quadrupole mass spectrometer with Sound Analytics' LeadScape™ for Agilent software. The goal is to enhance efficiency, data quality, and ease of adoption within existing workflows for DMPK laboratories.

With increasing pressure to accelerate drug development timelines, DMPK laboratories face a growing need for rapid and reliable high-quality data. Agilent states this collaboration aims to provide integrated analytical workflows that help scientists move from detection to confident decisions.

The new workflow allows the use of Agilent's LC and MS systems alongside the LeadScape software for routine and high-throughput drug metabolism analysis. The solution seeks to balance sensitivity, speed, and robustness with system uptime and ease of operation.

Agilent is a global provider of analytical and clinical laboratory technologies. Sound Analytics specializes in enhancing DMPK laboratory workflows with its software. The collaboration is expected to lower adoption barriers for new tools and support more efficient drug development through integrated LC/MS solutions.
