Agilent Insources Logistics Operations
Agilent Technologies is expanding its logistics operations in Memphis to optimize customer experience and supply chain flexibility across North America.

Agilent Technologies announced on June 3, 2018, that it is expanding its logistics operations to serve markets in the U.S., Mexico, Canada, and Central America. The company has brought its logistics functions in-house to optimize the customer experience.
The Agilent Regional Logistics Center for the Americas (RLC-A) based in Memphis, Tennessee, will serve as the company's primary distribution center for the Americas. This move is a critical part of Agilent's global supply chain and has added approximately 110 employees to the local team.
Managing logistics services such as warehousing, inventory management, order fulfillment, and distribution internally provides Agilent with greater control and allows for improved customer service levels. The company also aims for a more robust and flexible supply chain network.
"Through this insourcing initiative, we will have greater control over the quality of, and processes conducted within, the facility," said Henrik Ancher-Jensen, Senior Vice President, Agilent, and President, Order Fulfillment and Supply Chain. "Through the optimization of our fulfillment processes, we aim to exceed our customers' expectations and improve the overall Agilent customer experience."
The warehouse's capacity has been doubled to accommodate Agilent's growing product portfolio and better serve customers throughout North and Central America. New mobile warehouse monitoring solutions are expected to enhance speed, quality, and productivity.
