Agilent Launches AI-Driven Analysis Module for Cell Analysis
Agilent Technologies has launched a new AI-powered software module designed to simplify label-free imaging analysis for real-time cell analysis applications.

Agilent Technologies announced on July 01, 2026, the release of its new Agilent xCELLigence RTCA eSight AI software module. This artificial intelligence-driven tool aims to streamline and enhance the analysis of label-free cell imaging by reducing the need for manual segmentation and parameter tuning.
The new module integrates imaging and impedance analysis from the same cells, leveraging the capabilities of the Agilent xCELLigence RTCA eSight instrument. The AI component is designed to automate complex steps, leading to faster experimental turnaround times and more consistent, reproducible results. This is particularly beneficial for biopharmaceutical research, where precision and reliability are paramount.
Traditional cell imaging analysis methods often involve time-consuming manual processes that can introduce user-specific variability, potentially slowing down research projects. Agilent's AI solution seeks to standardize the analysis workflow, improve the robustness of findings, and make advanced imaging analysis more accessible to researchers with varying levels of expertise.
Carole Perrot, Ph.D., core facility director at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital, reported that the module has significantly reduced time spent on image analysis, improved workflow efficiency, and ensured reproducible outcomes. Agilent states the solution is expected to support drug discovery and high-throughput biopharmaceutical research.
