Agilent Launches End-to-End Digital Pathology Workflow Solution
Agilent Technologies has introduced a new digital pathology solution integrating technologies from multiple companies to enhance diagnostic quality and efficiency.
Agilent Technologies announced on March 10, 2023, a comprehensive end-to-end digital pathology workflow solution. This solution integrates products from Agilent, Visiopharm, Proscia, and Hamamatsu Photonics, aiming to improve diagnostic quality and efficiency.
The announcement coincided with the 112th Annual Meeting of the USCAP in New Orleans. Pathologists are increasingly seeking digital solutions to address the rising prevalence of chronic conditions and the high costs associated with traditional diagnostics.
Agilent and Visiopharm have collaborated since 2020, developing integrated solutions that include Visiopharm's AI-driven software and Agilent's automated staining capabilities. Their partnership has expanded to include the US and Canada.
Agilent has further broadened its offering by partnering with Proscia, a leader in digital pathology solutions, and Hamamatsu, a provider of whole slide imaging systems. Together, these companies aim to establish an open and scalable digital pathology solution.
