Agilent Launches New Infinity III LC Series for High-Performance Liquid Chromatography
Agilent Technologies has introduced its next-generation InfinityLab LC Series, comprising the 1290 Infinity III LC, 1260 Infinity III Prime LC, and 1260 Infinity III LC systems. These systems feature the new InfinityLab Assist Technology for enhanced automation and error reduction.

Santa Clara, Calif. – Agilent Technologies Inc. today announced the release of its next-generation Agilent InfinityLab LC Series, which includes the 1290 Infinity III LC, 1260 Infinity III Prime LC, and 1260 Infinity III LC systems. These instruments are the first on the market to feature Agilent InfinityLab Assist Technology, built-in system assistance capabilities designed to help labs focus more on achieving results rather than daily operation and maintenance.
The new LC systems aim to significantly enhance task automation, connectivity, predictive feedback, and error reduction. Built-in sample tracking, utilizing barcoding and camera technologies, is intended to eliminate sample mix-ups and improve accuracy and user confidence.
InfinityLab Assist is designed to bolster the LC systems' onboard capabilities for all users. It supports analysts of all skill levels by automating instrument routines, simplifying sample preparation, assisting with maintenance and troubleshooting, and providing context-sensitive help content and guidance for solvent management. Agilent states these features will reduce repetitive manual tasks, shorten training times, and increase confidence in results.
Additionally, the instruments in the new Infinity III LC Series offer method compatibility with earlier LC systems and seamless integration with chromatography data systems (CDS). They are also the first LC systems to provide customers with their CO2 footprint. The new features are available as upgrades to the existing Infinity II LC Series.
