Agilent Launches Next Generation LC-Mass Detection Series

Agilent Technologies (NYSE: A) has launched its new InfinityLab Pro iQ Series of liquid chromatography (LC)-mass detectors. The new systems, including the Pro iQ and Pro iQ Plus, are designed to meet diverse analytical needs in modern laboratories, particularly for analyzing small molecules, oligonucleotides, peptides, and proteins.

The Pro iQ Series targets a broad range of end markets, including pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries, academic and government research institutions, environmental testing labs, and the food safety and chemical sectors. The systems' precision and sensitivity support applications such as mass confirmation, impurity profiling, and compound purification.

Dr. Iris Mangelschots, vice president and general manager of Agilent’s Liquid Phase Division, highlighted the launch's strategic importance. The Pro iQ Series offers high performance and sensitivity for monitoring complex biomolecules and detecting impurities. The Pro iQ Plus model is specifically engineered for high-end applications requiring ultimate sensitivity. Both systems aim to improve operational efficiency and ease of use, enabling faster compound confirmation with greater specificity than traditional UV detection.
