Agilent Technologies announced on Tuesday, June 3, 2026, a significant collaboration with AI company OpenAI and consulting firm Boston Consulting Group (BCG). The partnership aims to deepen the integration of artificial intelligence into Agilent's products, operations, and customer workflows.
The objective is to accelerate the development and implementation of new AI-driven solutions within the field of laboratory analytics. Agilent's CEO, Padraig McDonnell, emphasized that AI is a strategic priority and that this collaboration will speed up this progression.
Expertise from both partners will be leveraged. OpenAI brings advanced AI capabilities and research, while BCG contributes experience in large-scale organizational transformation and the scaling of AI in business operations.
Initially, the collaboration will focus on key use cases designed to enhance customer experience and expedite the introduction of new products to the market. Agilent plans to significantly expand these AI initiatives over the next six to twelve months.
