Agilent Technologies announced its second-quarter financial results, posting $1.72 billion in revenue. This represents a 6.8% increase compared to the second quarter of fiscal year 2022, with core business growth reaching 9.5%.

The company reported a GAAP net income of $302 million, or $1.02 per share, marking a 12% increase from the previous year. Non-GAAP net income was $377 million, or $1.27 per share, also up 12% year-over-year.

"In an increasingly challenging market environment, the Agilent team delivered solid results in the second quarter," said Agilent President and CEO Mike McMullen. McMullen attributed the performance to an innovative portfolio, customer experience, and execution.

Citing increased market uncertainties, Agilent revised its full-year revenue forecast to a range of $6.93 billion to $7.03 billion. The company also updated its fiscal year 2023 non-GAAP EPS guidance to $5.60 to $5.65 per share. For the third quarter, Agilent expects revenue to be between $1.64 billion and $1.675 billion.
