Santa Clara, California – Agilent Technologies announced on January 16, 2025, the introduction of its IDP-35 and IDP-45 dry scroll pumps. These new units are engineered to provide enhanced pumping capacity for applications that demand quiet, efficient, and oil-free vacuum performance, addressing drawbacks associated with traditional oil-sealed pumps.

The IDP-35 and IDP-45 pumps offer significant advantages, including quiet operation and an oil-free design. This promotes a cleaner working environment and eliminates the risk of oil leaks and contamination. Maintenance requirements are minimal, requiring service only every two to three years and taking approximately 30 minutes for in-house execution, thereby reducing downtime and service costs.

These new pumps also present a more environmentally friendly option compared to older oil-sealed models, which were previously the only choice for higher pump speeds. The pumps are energy-efficient and eliminate harmful oil emissions and the need for hazardous waste disposal, aligning with Agilent's sustainability commitments.

Equipped with new smart features, the IDP-35 and IDP-45 allow for remote real-time monitoring and precise operation. Agilent aims to expand its product line and strengthen its market position in clean, dry vacuum technologies with the release of these pumps, supporting applications in laboratory instrumentation, research, cryogenics, and industrial processes.
