Agilent Technologies has announced a collaboration agreement with APC Ltd., with the companies set to combine their technologies. The partnership aims to provide customers with new workflows for automated process analysis, leveraging liquid chromatography (LC) technology.

APC, a specialist in process design and development for small and large molecules, shares Agilent's goal of assisting the biopharmaceutical and pharmaceutical industries. The collaboration intends to bridge the gap between analytical and process solutions, ultimately aiding in the faster and more efficient delivery of life-changing drugs to market.

Stefan Schuette, vice president and general manager of Agilent’s Liquid Phase Separations Division, stated, "We are delighted to be collaborating with APC on a solution for real-time/automated process monitoring." He noted that adapting analytical capabilities for online process monitoring aligns with the industry trend towards continuous manufacturing.

Damian Connolly, Analytical Lead at APC, highlighted Agilent's strong position in laboratory analytics. "This collaboration leverages our complementary strengths and ultimately provides even better services and technologies to our customers by giving them greater insights into, and control of, their processes," Connolly said. The companies plan to share findings through application notes and joint webinars, featuring Agilent's new InfinityLab Online LC and InfinityLab Bio LC portfolios.
