Agilent Technologies to Sell Resolution Bioscience to Exact Sciences
Agilent Technologies and Exact Sciences have agreed to terms for Agilent's sale of Resolution Bioscience. The acquisition aims to enhance Exact Sciences' precision oncology diagnostics.

Agilent Technologies and Exact Sciences have entered into a definitive agreement for the sale of Resolution Bioscience. Financial terms were not disclosed and are not material to either company.
Resolution Bioscience, acquired by Agilent in 2021, specializes in developing and commercializing next-generation sequencing-based precision oncology solutions. Exact Sciences stated that Resolution Bioscience's blood-based diagnostic tests complement its existing Precision Oncology portfolio.
Sam Raha, senior vice president at Agilent, indicated that Resolution Bioscience is a strategic fit for Exact Sciences due to its significant capabilities and resources in cancer diagnostics. He highlighted that the transaction allows the Resolution Bioscience team to continue advancements in diagnostic solutions.
Brian Baranick, general manager of Precision Oncology at Exact Sciences, expressed enthusiasm for integrating Resolution Bioscience's diagnostics. He noted that Resolution Bioscience's liquid biopsy selection platform complements Exact Sciences' OncoExTra test, enabling the company to assist more cancer patients in determining treatment options.
This acquisition aligns with Exact Sciences' strategy to broaden its cancer screening and diagnostic offerings, which include the Cologuard and Oncotype tests. The company aims to provide comprehensive solutions for cancer treatment decisions before, during, and after diagnosis.
