Agilitas Raises $27 Million to Expand Global Sportswear Footprint
Indian sportswear startup Agilitas has secured $27 million in new funding to bolster its global presence. The company plans to build an ecosystem spanning manufacturing, brands, and distribution.

Indian sportswear startup Agilitas has secured 225 crore Indian Rupees (approximately $27 million) in fresh funding to significantly expand its global operations.
The company intends to leverage the new capital to develop an integrated ecosystem that encompasses manufacturing, consumer brands, and distribution networks. Agilitas aims to build a competitive edge that is difficult to replicate in the global sportswear market, which is dominated by established players like Nike and Adidas.
Agilitas, led by CEO Abhishek Ganguly, a former MD of Puma India, currently manages several sportswear entities. These include Mochiko Shoes, which manufactures sportswear for major global brands such as Adidas, Puma, and New Balance, as well as Virat Kohli's lifestyle brand One8 and a 40-year license for Lotto Sport Italia.
Ganguly stated the company's ambition is to establish an Indian sportswear enterprise capable of competing on a global scale. He highlighted that Indian consumer brands have historically lacked the necessary combination of differentiated products, supply chain control, and multi-channel distribution required for international competition.
Cricketer Virat Kohli is a significant figure in Agilitas, acting as both an investor and partner through his brand One8. His involvement in product development and testing underscores the company's drive to create a globally relevant sportswear brand.
