agorum core DMS offers digital invoice workflow with DATEV integration

agorum Software GmbH has introduced a new standard plugin for digital invoice workflow into its agorum core document management system (DMS). This addition facilitates the management of supplier files, invoice assignment and booking, and subsequent data transfer to the DATEV accounting software.

The new plugin allows companies to digitize their entire invoice processing chain. The system supports both manual entry of invoice data and automated data extraction using optical character recognition (OCR). For automation, the system can be trained to recognize essential invoice details such as supplier information, dates, line items, tax rates, and total amounts.

The process begins with document capture and metadata recognition, followed by an approval workflow where specific approval steps and cost centers can be defined. Upon completion of the workflow, the system generates an export file for DATEV, either as an ASCII transaction for DATEV Mittelstand or in XML format for DATEV Unternehmen Online.

Through the agorum core DMS, agorum Software GmbH aims to provide a quickly implementable standard solution that reduces manual administration and the risk of errors. The new integration addresses the growing demand for digitized processes in finance departments, simplifying the booking and archiving of supplier invoices.
