agorum core system simplifies document scanning and archiving

German software company agorum® Software GmbH has introduced its document management system (DMS), agorum core, which offers a solution for the digital archiving of corporate paper documents. The goal is to reduce paper usage and enhance document searchability.

The system's advantage lies in its ease of use. Documents can be scanned directly into the DMS's network drive through standard scanners, eliminating the need for additional software or interfaces. This allows for immediate storage and indexing of documents.

The software also includes an optical character recognition (OCR) feature, making digital documents fully searchable. Customers can opt for agorum's own OCR module or integrate third-party software. Furthermore, the agorum core docform module automates the document archiving process based on rules, enabling features like automatic invoice processing and approval workflows.

For large volumes of documents, agorum core supports clustering of OCR processes, distributing the workload across multiple servers and significantly speeding up processing. This system provides businesses with a means to streamline their information management and reduce their reliance on physical paper.
