Agrace Expands Hospice Services into Dubuque, Iowa

Agrace, the largest nonprofit hospice provider based in Wisconsin, has expanded its services into Iowa for the first time, establishing a presence in Dubuque. The organization, which has nearly 50 years of experience providing end-of-life care, will now offer its services to residents in the Dubuque area, marking its initial expansion west of the Mississippi River.

The nonprofit has opened a local office at 300 Main Street in Dubuque. This move aims to provide high-quality, in-home hospice care to patients in private residences, long-term care facilities, and other settings where they reside. Agrace's expansion addresses a growing need for accessible hospice services in the region.

"This expansion into Dubuque reflects Agrace's ongoing commitment to making compassionate, nonprofit care more accessible to people facing serious illness," said Agrace President and CEO Lynne Sexten. "As the need for end-of-life care continues to grow, we are proud to expand our services across state lines so more families can receive expert care and support close to home."

Patients in the Dubuque area will be served by a dedicated local care team, including a hospice physician, registered nurses, certified nursing assistants, volunteers, and spiritual and grief counselors. Agrace, founded in Madison, Wisconsin, in 1978, is a community-supported healthcare organization committed to providing support to individuals who are seriously ill, dying, or grieving. Referrals can be made by anyone, including healthcare facilities, and medical eligibility is assessed for enrollment throughout the week.
