Agthia Group posts revenue growth amid rising input costs

Abu Dhabi-based Agthia Group released its financial results for the third quarter and the first nine months of 2026, showing a revenue increase of 14.4% year-on-year for the quarter, reaching AED 1.3 billion. Net profit reached AED 33.2 million, a significant recovery from the AED 4.1 million recorded in the same period last year, which was impacted by impairment charges in the snacking division.

Segment performance varied significantly across the company’s portfolio. While the Water and Food segment saw strong growth, the Agri-Business unit faced an 807-basis-point contraction in EBITDA margins due to high freight, distribution, and input costs. Conversely, the snacking division successfully turned a loss into a profit of AED 23.8 million, driven by the ongoing integration of acquisitions like Abu Auf and operational restructuring.

CEO Salmeen Alameri stated that the company is prioritizing operational discipline and portfolio strengthening to mitigate inflationary pressures. The firm’s financial stability improved, with the net debt-to-EBITDA ratio falling to 2.4x at the end of the period, down from 2.9x recorded at the close of 2025.
