Agthia Group reports revenue growth amid rising operational costs

Agthia Group reported a 14.4% year-on-year revenue increase to 1.3 billion AED for the third quarter of 2026. Excluding one-time sales, underlying revenue grew by 5.2%. Profitability improved significantly, with EBITDA rising 39% to 123.1 million AED and net profit reaching 33.2 million AED, a marked recovery from the same period last year which was affected by impairment charges.

The performance varied by segment. The protein and frozen food division saw a 25.1% revenue increase, largely driven by the expansion of facilities in Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, the agribusiness segment struggled with rising input costs, which caused EBITDA to contract by 39.3%. Snacks division, currently undergoing a restructuring process, showed improved margins as the AbuAuf brand expanded its retail presence.

CEO Salmeen Alameri noted that the company is taking active measures to protect its operations from logistical disruptions and rising supply chain pressures. Agthia’s financial position remains stable, with net debt-to-EBITDA ratio improving from 2.9x in December 2025 to 2.4x. Management remains focused on operational transformation to maintain long-term value.
