Washington D.C. – The Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM) Verifide program has added bathroom exhaust fans to its list of certified ventilation products. This expansion provides manufacturers with a new category for independent performance verification.
The new certification aims to give builders and consumers confidence in the performance of bathroom exhaust fans. Products undergoing the AHAM Verifide process are tested to meet specific standards for airflow, energy efficiency, and sound levels.
This addition is particularly relevant for markets like California and 11 other states, along with the District of Columbia, where building codes often mandate specific ventilation performance. Builders in these regions can now more easily identify compliant bathroom exhaust fans.
AHAM Verifide already offers certification for other ventilation products, such as range hoods and whole-house fans, providing a consistent benchmark for performance across different appliance types.
