AI Chatbot Visibility Firm Promptwatch Raises €6 Million Seed Round
Amsterdam-based AI startup Promptwatch, which helps companies improve their visibility on AI chatbots, has secured €6 million in seed funding. The capital will support the company's expansion into the US.
Amsterdam-based AI startup Promptwatch has secured €6 million in a seed funding round. The company offers services aimed at helping businesses enhance their visibility within AI chatbots such as ChatGPT and Claude.
The funding round was led by Berlin-based venture capital firm Seed + Speed Ventures, with participation from Blum Ventures and Arches Capital. Promptwatch reports nearly 2,000 users, including technology firms like Duolingo and Fireflies, and achieved €2 million in annual recurring revenue in May 2026, just 12 months after its launch.
The new capital will facilitate the company's expansion into New York, where it has recently established an office. Gijs de Groot, co-founder and CEO of Promptwatch, estimates there are approximately ten serious competitors globally in the AI search optimization space, with Promptwatch considering Berlin-based Peec its primary European rival.
Promptwatch differentiates itself from competitors like Peec by also offering content creation services tailored for AI chatbots. AI search optimization, also referred to as GEO (generative engine optimisation), has emerged as a critical area for marketers aiming to ensure brand presence in AI-driven search results.
