AI chip developer Tenspresso seeks $50m funding at $500m valuation
California-based Tenspresso is in discussions to raise at least $50 million, aiming for a $500 million valuation.

Tenspresso, a Sunnyvale-based startup founded by former Google engineers, is in talks to secure at least $50 million in new funding. The proposed round would place the company’s valuation at $500 million, following a recent $20 million injection from Striker Venture Partners.
Led by co-founders Dong Hyuk Woo and Harshit Khaitan, the 15-person startup is focused on designing AI chips capable of handling extended context windows. The company aims to finalize its first product design between late 2027 and early 2028.
The venture enters a sector currently constrained by bottlenecks in advanced packaging and high-bandwidth memory. To mitigate these industry-wide supply chain challenges, Tenspresso is reportedly investigating alternative manufacturing options outside of standard silicon supply chains.
