AI Employee Platform Ema Raises $77 Million
AI startup Ema has secured $77 million in Series B funding to scale its 'universal AI employee' platform globally. The funds will support market expansion and go-to-market strategies.
Agentic AI startup Ema has raised $77 million in a Series B funding round led by venture capital firm Creaegis. The investment also saw participation from existing investors Accel, S32, and Prosus.
This latest funding brings Ema's total raised capital to approximately $140 million. The company stated it has quadrupled its valuation since its $50 million Series A round in 2025, though the specific current valuation remains undisclosed.
Headquartered in San Francisco, Ema plans to use the capital to expand its market reach into new geographies, including Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The startup develops what it terms 'universal AI employees'—agentic AI systems designed to automate and execute enterprise workflows.
Founded in 2023 by former Coinbase CPO Surojit Chatterjee and former Okta executive Souvik Sen, Ema aims to provide AI systems capable of performing tasks across various business functions such as HR, IT, and finance. The company, which also has offices in Bengaluru, London, and Vancouver, employs approximately 200 people and has primarily served clients in the US and Europe.
