Chinese AI glasses brand NIMO has raised several hundred million yuan in angel funding, valuing the startup at RMB 1.5 billion. Gobi Partners was among the investors.

TechNode, the Chinese startup behind the AI glasses brand NIMO, has secured several hundred million yuan in angel funding, bringing its valuation to RMB 1.5 billion (approximately $205 million), according to an October 8 report.
The funding round saw participation from Gobi Partners, alongside other Chinese venture capital firms. TechNode develops smart glasses designed for everyday use and has already established offline sales channels.
Proceeds from the investment are earmarked for the development of new products and core technologies. The company also plans to expand its domestic retail network and enter overseas markets, as competition intensifies among Chinese hardware startups in the AI eyewear sector.
This funding comes as the market for smart eyewear continues to grow, with multiple companies vying for market share. NIMO aims to differentiate itself through product innovation and strategic market expansion.
