AI Hackathon Gives Rise to Women's Health Startup HERROUTE
A women's health platform leveraging AI, named HERROUTE, was developed at a London AI hackathon and has since been registered as a business. The startup focuses on solutions for conditions like PCOS.

Magic Hour AI, Inc. announced the emergence of HERROUTE, a women's health technology startup that originated from a single-day AI hackathon event in London. The company is focused on developing artificial intelligence-powered solutions to address health challenges faced by women, with an initial focus on Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS).
The venture was conceived during an AI Build Day organized by Digital Women, a network supporting women in technology and business. Participants, organized into teams, utilize AI tools to rapidly prototype business ideas. HERROUTE's founding team successfully built and pitched their concept, winning a £3,000 prize and subsequently registering the business to bring their platform to market.
Digital Women is hosting another AI Build Day on July 15, 2026, at NatWest's London hub. The event aims to replicate the success of previous iterations by enabling women to form teams, build AI-driven solutions for common business problems, and present their pitches to a panel of judges. The winning team will receive a £3,000 prize.
Thuha Wright, one of HERROUTE's co-founders, will return to the event as a mentor and judge, highlighting the transformative potential of AI for rapid business development. "AI has completely changed what's possible. You no longer need a developer or a big team to test an idea; you need the right room and the courage to start," Wright stated. The event aims to provide a similar catalytic environment for aspiring female entrepreneurs.
The AI Build Day is designed to foster innovation in areas such as marketing, operations, and customer acquisition for small businesses. Judging criteria include commercial viability, market fit, and product originality. Approximately 60 participants are expected to form ten teams for the intensive one-day workshop.
