AI Increases Naukri's Average Revenue Per User
Info Edge's recruitment platform Naukri is leveraging AI to increase its average revenue per user (ARPU). Concurrently, the company's education arm, Shiksha, faces challenges.

Info Edge's recruitment platform, Naukri, has identified new avenues for revenue growth through artificial intelligence, leading to an increase in average revenue per user (ARPU). During the company's earnings call, Managing Director Hitesh Oberoi stated that newer offerings like AI REX and Talent Pulse have significantly boosted ARPU and expanded the revenue opportunity per customer.
The AI REX agentic AI offering for recruiters has seen accelerating commercial adoption. As of June 2026, the tool was live with 4,000 enterprise and recruitment firms, with 10% converting to paying customers. Adoption spans across sectors including IT, BFSI, sales, finance, healthcare, BPO, and core engineering.
Naukri is transitioning from a job board to a comprehensive recruitment operating system. The platform now offers solutions for talent sourcing, salary and talent planning, employer branding, and assisted hiring. The company sees significant untapped monetization potential, particularly in premium and mid-market segments, by enhancing recruiter productivity and expanding adjacent services.
In contrast, Info Edge's education business, Shiksha, is encountering headwinds due to AI. Oberoi explained that Shiksha's reliance on third-party distribution channels, where user traffic originates, has become a disadvantage as AI alters user discovery and search behavior. This contrasts with Naukri's model, where owning both sides of the marketplace strengthens its position in an AI-driven landscape.
