AI Startup Ema Raises $77 Million in Series B Funding
US-based AI startup Ema, which automates HR, IT, and finance workflows using AI agents, has secured $77 million in a Series B funding round. Accel and Prosus participated in the investment.
Ema, a US-based artificial intelligence company, has closed a $77 million Series B funding round. The company plans to allocate the new capital primarily towards expanding its sales and marketing efforts and supporting international growth.
The funding round was led by Indian venture firm Creaegis. Accel, Section 32, and Prosus also increased their stakes in the company. Since its inception in 2023, Ema has now raised a total of $140 million in funding.
Ema employs teams of AI agents to automate business processes, including human resources, IT support, and finance functions. The company reports serving over 1 million active enterprise users and having more than 50 enterprise deals. Notable customers include Google, Microsoft, and PwC.
The newly acquired funds will facilitate Ema's expansion beyond the United States and Europe into the Asia-Pacific region, South America, and parts of the Middle East. The startup was founded in 2023 by former Google and Coinbase executive Surojit Chatterjee and former Okta executive Souvik Sen.
