AI startup Hypersphere secures hundreds of millions of RMB in seed funding
Shenzhen-based Hypersphere Technology has raised significant angel funding to develop modular foundation models.

Shenzhen-based artificial intelligence firm Hypersphere Technology has successfully closed an angel funding round totaling hundreds of millions of RMB. The capital injection was backed by investors including Legend Capital, CAS Star, SenseTime Guoxiang Capital, and WestSummit Capital.
The startup was founded by Weiyang Liu, a professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Hypersphere centers its technology on a concept it calls “Infinite Models,” a framework designed to aggregate specialized expert models into a cohesive system. This approach aims to dynamically route tasks across a hybrid of proprietary and open-source models to optimize performance.
Hypersphere’s development roadmap focuses on model pretraining, reinforcement learning for post-training, and parameter-efficient fine-tuning techniques. The company is positioning itself to address the growing demand for flexible, modular foundation models in an increasingly competitive AI industry.
