Air France-KLM and SAS sign new codeshare agreement
Aviation groups Air France-KLM and SAS have entered into a codeshare and interline agreement, set to take effect on September 1, 2024, expanding travel options for passengers across Europe.
Air France-KLM and SAS Expand Network with New Agreement
Air France-KLM and SAS announced the signing of a codeshare and interline agreement that will enhance travel connectivity across Europe. The agreement is scheduled to commence on September 1, 2024, coinciding with SAS's official entry into the SkyTeam alliance, where Air France-KLM is a founding member.
The new arrangement will grant Air France and KLM customers access to 33 new destinations in Northern Europe via SAS's hubs in Copenhagen, Oslo, and Stockholm. Conversely, SAS passengers will gain access to 33 new European destinations through Air France and KLM's hubs at Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Amsterdam Schiphol.
Loyalty programs will also be integrated, allowing Flying Blue and EuroBonus members to earn and redeem Miles/Points on all flights covered by the agreement starting September 1. As SAS joins SkyTeam, its passengers will also be eligible for SkyTeam benefits, including SkyPriority services and lounge access.
Both Air France-KLM and SAS currently operate a significant number of weekly flights between their respective hubs. This partnership is expected to strengthen their network reach and provide passengers with greater travel flexibility and options.
