Airlines at Munich Airport streamline IT with Amadeus cloud technology
Airlines operating from Munich Airport's Terminal 1 are consolidating their shared IT infrastructure using Amadeus cloud technology. The move impacts over 330 workstations.

Munich T1 Airline CLUB, a consortium of airlines at Munich Airport's Terminal 1, has adopted Amadeus' Airport Cloud Use Service (ACUS) to simplify and enhance shared IT infrastructure for passenger services.
The implementation involves migrating 330 workstations across check-in, boarding gates, and lost and found desks to the cloud-based service. This transition eliminates the need for individual airline servers and complex, costly network links previously managed at the terminal. Agents will now access necessary systems via thin clients connected through a single internet link.
This consolidation aims to reduce the complexity and cost associated with managing airport IT. ACUS is designed to lessen the requirement for on-site system administration and support. Amadeus suggests this approach makes airport software as accessible as consumer applications, allowing staff to focus more on passenger interaction.
The new system also aims to improve operational agility. New airlines joining the Munich T1 Airline CLUB can reportedly be onboarded and operational within days, streamlining integration and potentially enhancing the overall passenger experience at the terminal.
