Aitech C165: New Single Board Computer for Military VME Systems

Aitech has unveiled the C165, a new rugged 6U VME Single Board Computer (SBC). The device is designed to enhance the capabilities of existing VME-based defense systems without requiring the replacement of the current infrastructure.

The C165 incorporates modern Intel processors and graphics for increased computational and visual performance, alongside optimized size, weight, and power (SWaP). It also includes high-capacity secure storage.

Aitech aims to provide a cost-effective solution for upgrading legacy systems, reducing the risk and expense associated with complete overhauls. The new SBC is intended to extend the operational life of critical defense programs.

The company states that the C165 facilitates the integration of newer technologies into older VME architectures, a key consideration for defense programs often characterized by long development and deployment cycles.
