Aitech has introduced the C165, a new rugged Single Board Computer (SBC) designed for defense programs seeking to modernize their fielded VME (Versa Module Eurocard) systems. The C165 allows for the integration of modern computing and graphics capabilities while preserving existing infrastructure, thereby reducing modernization risks.
The new SBC features an updated Intel processor and offers optimized SWaP (size, weight, and power) characteristics. It also includes secure, high-capacity storage, addressing critical needs for defense applications. This approach aims to lower the overall cost and complexity of upgrading legacy systems.
By deploying the C165, organizations can upgrade deployed VME-based equipment with current technology. This can lead to improved performance and extended system lifecycles without necessitating a complete overhaul of the operational setup.
