AITO M9 Electric Vehicle Completes Inter-city Range Test
Automaker AITO has disclosed official results from a real-world range test of its new M9 electric vehicle model. The test simulated a round trip between two cities without intermediate charging.

Chinese technology news outlet IT Home reports that AITO's new generation M9 electric vehicle recently underwent a real-world range test. The objective was to simulate a round trip journey between the Chinese cities of Chongqing and Chengdu without requiring any charging stops.
The test yielded an actual driving distance of 630.6 kilometers, achieving 88.1% of the vehicle's stated CLTC range. Official figures indicate an energy consumption rate of 17.8 kWh per 100 kilometers. AITO has promoted this test to highlight the vehicle's capability for extended travel on a single charge.
The test, conducted on July 14, 2026, featured a five-seat, four-wheel-drive M9 Ultra variant equipped with 21-inch wheels. The vehicle's official CLTC range is rated at 715 kilometers. The total distance covered in the test was 630.6 km, encompassing both urban and highway driving over 7 hours and 36 minutes.
Additional test conditions included a high ambient temperature of 41°C, the air conditioning set to cool the cabin to 24°C, and a load consisting of four adults plus 50 kg of equipment. The AITO M9 was officially launched in May 2026 and is available in two configurations starting from 479,800 yuan.
