AITO's New M8 SUV Opens for Pre-sale in China
AITO has launched pre-sales for its new M8 SUV in China, starting at 389,800 yuan. The vehicle features Huawei's Kunlun Intelligent Driving ADS 5 system and an L3-ready architecture.
AITO announced the commencement of pre-sales for its new M8 SUV in China, with prices starting at 389,800 yuan. The vehicle, a collaboration between Huawei and Seres under the AITO brand, is equipped with Huawei's latest Kunlun Intelligent Driving ADS 5 system.
The new M8 boasts an updated exterior design with new color options and wheel designs, alongside a redesigned interior focused on luxury and comfort. It offers enhanced passenger and cargo space, with an option for zero-gravity seats in the six-seater configuration, and an upgraded audio-visual system.
Underpinning the M8 is an 800-volt electrical architecture for faster charging. The pure electric version claims a range of up to 830 km, while the range-extended variant offers a combined range of 1435 km. The vehicle also features a retuned intelligent chassis with dual-chamber air suspension and rear-wheel steering.
The advanced driver-assistance systems are powered by Huawei's Kunlun ADS 5, which includes a new generation of perception systems. Notably, the M8 is built with an architecture designed for future L3 autonomous driving capabilities, with all models featuring this underlying structure, indicating a strategic focus on autonomous driving technology.
