LYSAKER, Norway – Aker BP has announced the start of production from the Skarv Satellite Project, which comprises the Alve Nord, Idun Nord, and Ørn fields located in the Norwegian Sea. The company reported that production commenced one year earlier than originally planned.
The Skarv Satellite Project involves several smaller fields that have been connected to the existing Skarv production system. This approach allows for the economic development of smaller oil and gas reserves by leveraging existing infrastructure and extending its operational life.
