Aker Solutions secures engineering contract for Qatar oil field redevelopment
Aker Solutions has received a letter of award from PTSC Mechanical and Construction for detail design work on the Maydan Mahzam oil field project offshore Qatar.
Aker Solutions will provide detail design services for the redevelopment of the Maydan Mahzam oil field, located approximately 100 kilometers off the coast of Qatar. The contract was awarded by PTSC Mechanical and Construction Limited Company (PTSC M&C).
The engineering tasks associated with this project will be managed by Aker Solutions' regional offices in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and Mumbai, India. The project focuses on infrastructure upgrades for the field, which sits in 40 meters of water near Halul Island.
This award reinforces Aker Solutions' footprint in the Middle Eastern offshore energy sector. The company's involvement in the Maydan Mahzam redevelopment is part of broader efforts to modernize aging offshore assets in the region.
