Aker Solutions to Modernize Nes Hydropower Plant in Norway

Aker Solutions has been awarded a contract by Hafslund Kraft for the modernization of Nes Power Station, located in Buskerud, Norway. This project represents one of the country's significant hydropower upgrades.
The Nes Power Station currently has an installed capacity of 332 MW and generates approximately 1.5 TWh annually, making it a key contributor of renewable energy to Norway's power system.
The modernization program is expected to boost the plant's capacity by an estimated 80 MW and increase its annual production by around 37 GWh. The upgrades are also intended to extend the station's operational lifetime and enhance its reliability.
