Akeso reports phase III survival data for ivonesimab in biliary tract cancer
Akeso, Inc. has released phase III data from the HARMONi-GI1 trial, showing improved survival outcomes for ivonesimab combined with chemotherapy in first-line biliary tract cancer treatment.

Akeso, Inc. presented findings from the phase III HARMONi-GI1 clinical trial at the ESMO 2026 Presidential Symposium. The study compared the efficacy of ivonesimab plus chemotherapy against the current standard of care, durvalumab plus chemotherapy, in patients with previously untreated biliary tract cancer.
The results indicate that the ivonesimab-based regimen achieved superior total survival outcomes in the study population. The double-blind, multicenter trial was designed to evaluate whether this bispecific antibody candidate offers a more effective treatment pathway than established therapies.
These data provide a basis for further regulatory review as Akeso seeks to expand the clinical application of its product portfolio. The medical community is observing these developments as potential shifts in biliary tract cancer treatment protocols.
