akf Bank and EIF to Enhance Technology Investments in Germany
akf Bank and the European Investment Fund (EIF) have launched an initiative to facilitate technology investments totaling approximately €143 million in Germany. The partnership aims to improve access to funding for robotics, AI, and other future technologies.

Wuppertal – akf Bank, in collaboration with the European Investment Fund (EIF), part of the EIB Group, is launching a new initiative to boost financing for future technologies in Germany. The program, which commenced at the Hannover Messe on April 20, is designed to facilitate access to funding for investments in areas such as robotics, hardware and software-based future technologies, and artificial intelligence.
The EIF's guarantee is expected to enable technology investments amounting to around €143 million. This initiative will also directly benefit young deeptech companies by providing them with better access to capital for their innovative projects.
This guarantee program aims to strengthen Germany's competitive position in the global technology market by supporting businesses investing in next-generation technologies. The collaboration seeks to unlock significant capital for technological advancements within the country.
Industry observers note that such partnerships are crucial for fostering innovation and enabling smaller, high-growth tech companies to secure necessary funding. The EIF's involvement is intended to de-risk investments, thereby encouraging greater private sector participation in financing emerging technologies.
