Akiram Therapeutics and ITM sign Lutetium-177 supply agreement
Akiram Therapeutics and ITM Isotope Technologies Munich SE have entered into a supply agreement for Lutetium-177. The agreement will support the development of Akiram's cancer treatment candidate, AKIR001.

Swedish clinical-stage biotechnology company Akiram Therapeutics, specializing in molecular radiotherapy, has signed a supply agreement with ITM Isotope Technologies Munich SE (ITM), a company focused on radiopharmaceuticals.
The agreement centers on the supply of non-carrier-added (n.c.a.) Lutetium-177 (Lu-177) to Akiram. This isotope is a crucial component for the development of AKIR001, Akiram's investigational molecular radiotherapy agent for solid tumors.
Lutetium-177 is a radioactive isotope used in targeted radiopharmaceutical therapy. It allows for the delivery of therapeutic radiation directly to cancer cells, aiming to minimize damage to surrounding healthy tissues.
The supply of Lu-177 is essential for Akiram to advance its clinical trials for AKIR001. The partnership aims to ensure a reliable source of the isotope as the drug candidate progresses through development stages.
