Akko Launches New U1 Series Mechanical Keyboard Switches
Akko has introduced its new U1 series of mechanical keyboard switches, featuring advanced materials and structural designs aimed at enhancing the typing experience.
Akko, a manufacturer of keyboard components, has launched its new U1 series of mechanical keyboard switches. The series, introduced as the company approaches its tenth anniversary, focuses on material innovation and structural refinement to deliver an improved typing experience.
The U1 switches incorporate a new POM blend material, which Akko states offers enhanced smoothness and consistency with a cleaner sound profile. The design features a redesigned cylindrical stem and an optimized rail structure to reduce contact area and provide a more focused sound. Factory lubrication is applied to reduce friction for a smoother feel.
The Creamy Yellow U1 is the debut switch in the series, balancing tactile feedback with a deeper sound. It also includes an improved light column for more uniform RGB illumination. Other switches in the U1 line include the Creamy Purple U1 (tactile), Piano U1 (linear), and Crystal Silver U1 (linear), each designed for specific performance characteristics like gaming responsiveness or a refined typing feel.
Akko plans to integrate the U1 switches into its upcoming keyboards, such as the 5075 V5 and other V5 series products. The company also intends to introduce quieter switch variants. The U1 series switches are available through Akko's global sales channels.
