Akron Athletics Extends Ticket Sales Partnership with Taymar
The University of Akron Athletics Department has signed a multiyear contract extension with Taymar to continue managing ticket sales and operations for the Zips sports programs. The renewed agreement builds on a four-year partnership marked by significant revenue growth.

The University of Akron Athletics Department will continue its relationship with Taymar, a college sports marketing firm, under a newly signed multiyear contract extension. Taymar has been responsible for ticket sales and operations for the Akron Zips athletics programs since 2020.
This renewed partnership follows a period of substantial financial growth for Akron Athletics, according to data provided by Taymar. The firm reported four consecutive years of year-over-year revenue increases across all ticketed sports. Specific metrics highlighted include a 193% rise in football group ticket revenue and a 126% increase in men's basketball group ticket volume within three seasons. Overall ticket revenue saw a 75.1% increase over the same period, with cumulative revenue generated exceeding $2.5 million since 2022.
Dr. Andrew T. Goodrich, Akron's Director of Athletics, expressed satisfaction with the extension, citing Taymar's role in strengthening fan connections and driving attendance. Taymar, in turn, views Akron Athletics as a key partner, acknowledging the collaboration and shared focus on ticket sales as drivers of momentum.
Adam Plyler has been appointed General Manager of Ticket Sales and Operations for the Akron account, joining Taymar to oversee the continuation of these efforts. Akron represents Taymar's first client in Ohio and its sole partner within the Mid-American Conference.
