Aktia Bank Plc announced a significant increase in its financial performance for the first half of 2026, with its comparable operating profit rising by 67% to EUR 43.7 million from EUR 26.2 million in the same period last year.

The profit growth was attributed to positive developments in the bank's core business operations and the implementation of a new ECL (Expected Credit Loss) model. Net interest income saw a 5% decrease, reaching EUR 33.1 million, primarily due to lower interest rates on loans compared to the previous year. However, net interest income increased by 3% quarter-on-quarter.

A key highlight for the bank was achieving a record level of assets under management. This development supports Aktia's strategic goals in the financial services sector.

Looking ahead, Aktia Bank aims to continue its strategic execution focused on profitable growth and enhancing customer experience. The record assets under management provide a strong foundation for the bank's future trajectory.
