Aktion Deutschland Hilft expands aid operations
Aktion Deutschland Hilft, an umbrella organization for eight German aid agencies, has expanded its emergency aid efforts across multiple crisis regions. The organization is providing support in areas including the Democratic Republic of Congo, Lebanon, and Ukraine.

The umbrella organization Aktion Deutschland Hilft has launched or expanded emergency aid operations in several global crisis zones, including in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda in response to the Ebola outbreak.
The alliance of eight German aid organizations is also addressing the escalating humanitarian crisis in the Middle East, with a focus on Lebanon and Gaza, where millions are affected by violence and collapsing supply systems. Immediate assistance is also being provided in Sudan, where three years of war have created one of the world's largest humanitarian crises.
In Ukraine, four years after the escalation of war, the need for aid remains immense, and delivering humanitarian assistance is becoming increasingly dangerous. The organization is also active in Southern Africa, where cyclones have caused severe damage in Madagascar and Mozambique.
Aktion Deutschland Hilft also promotes humanitarian aid awareness through its Journalism Prize for Humanitarian Aid, recognizing journalistic work covering crises. In 2026, six scholarship holders will travel to aid projects in six different countries.
