Alan Stalcup Scholarship Awards First Preschool Recipient
The Alan Stalcup Scholarship program has awarded its first scholarship to a preschool-aged child, expanding its support to early childhood education.

The Alan Stalcup Scholarship has announced a significant expansion of its mission, awarding its first scholarship to a preschool-aged child. This move broadens the program's focus to recognize the importance of nurturing potential from the earliest stages of a student's educational journey.
Traditionally supporting high school and college students, the scholarship now acknowledges the formative years. This includes encouraging qualities like curiosity, character, and a love of learning that begin to develop long before higher education is pursued.
Alan Stalcup, founder of the scholarship and GVA Real Estate Investments, explained the rationale behind the change. "Every meaningful journey begins with a first step, and education is no different," Stalcup said. "By recognizing students at the earliest stages of learning, we're sending the simple but powerful message that potential deserves encouragement from day one."
The inaugural preschool recipient was selected for demonstrating traits such as curiosity, enthusiasm for learning, positive character, and an eagerness to engage with their environment. This expansion aligns with Stalcup's broader philosophy of early investment in development, both in education and his real estate ventures.
