Alandra Washington Elected as New Director to Center for Disaster Philanthropy Board
The Center for Disaster Philanthropy (CDP) has elected Dr. Alandra Washington as a new board director. Washington brings over 25 years of experience in nonprofit and philanthropic leadership.
Washington D.C. – The Board of Directors at the Center for Disaster Philanthropy (CDP) has welcomed Dr. Alandra Washington as a newly elected member. Washington, who serves as the Chief Transformation and Organizational Effectiveness Officer at the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, joined the board during its quarterly meeting last month.
CDP Board Chair Tiffany Benjamin emphasized Washington's qualifications. "We are delighted to welcome Alandra Washington to the board," Benjamin stated. "Alandra brings a dynamic blend of leadership, strategic insight, and deep commitment to community impact."
Washington possesses over 25 years of experience within the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors, focusing on advancing equitable outcomes for children, families, and communities. Her expertise includes organizational development, business process redesign, and change management.
Prior to her current role, Washington held leadership positions at The Greater East St. Louis Community Fund and the New Spirit Neighborhood Organizing Office. She also has extensive experience serving on various other boards.
The Center for Disaster Philanthropy works to mobilize philanthropy in strengthening communities' ability to withstand disasters and recover equitably.
