Albemarle posts third quarter financial results with increased earnings
Albemarle Corporation reported third-quarter net sales of $1.6 billion, representing a 19% year-over-year increase driven by stronger pricing in its energy storage division.

Albemarle Corporation generated $1.6 billion in net sales for the third quarter of 2026, marking a 19% increase compared to the same period in 2025. The company reported net income of $297 million, reversing a net loss from the previous year. Adjusted EBITDA reached $646 million, rising 186% year-over-year, supported by significant price gains in the company’s energy storage segment and improved productivity.
CEO Kent Masters stated that the results reflect disciplined execution across the business. The company successfully lowered its full-year capital expenditure forecast from $500 million to a range of $300 million to $350 million, citing ongoing efforts to improve capital efficiency and project resequencing.
Despite a decline in sales volume within energy storage, higher realized prices contributed to the robust financial performance. The company continues to maintain a positive long-term outlook, noting a 48% increase in global lithium demand year-to-date, fueled by the adoption of electric vehicles and expanded energy storage needs.
