Alex Lane Appointed Sweco UK Business Area President

Alex Lane has been appointed the new Business Area President for Sweco UK, effective October 1, 2026. He will also become a member of Sweco Group's Executive team. Lane brings significant experience from the professional services sector, having led complex, multidisciplinary teams across the UK and Europe.

Throughout his career, Lane has worked across various sectors, including the built environment, infrastructure, transportation, and defense. Most recently, he led the European Cities & Places business at Jacobs, where he had been employed since 2012.

Lane holds a master's degree in mechanical engineering. His appointment is expected to bolster Sweco's presence in the UK market and enhance its strategic leadership within the group.
