Algo Grande Copper Commences Phase II Drill Program at Adelita Project in Mexico
Vancouver, British Columbia โ June 12, 2026 โ Algo Grande Copper Corp. has initiated the second phase of its exploration drilling program at the wholly-owned Adelita Project in Sonora, Mexico. Drilling has commenced, with the first hole, AG_GC_PH2_001, spudded at the Cerro Grande Cu-Ag-Au skarn target.
The program aims to extend the Cerro Grande discovery by 100 meters north of the Phase I drill footprint. Subsequent holes will systematically expand the discovery to the south and northwest along a 2.5-kilometre corridor, identified through magnetic surveys, soil geochemistry, and geological mapping.
The full 8,000-metre program targets expansion of the Cerro Grande discovery along this corridor, alongside initial drill programs at the Cerro Potrero South skarn and Las Trancas epithermal targets. The company will provide updates as drilling progresses.
Algo Grande Copper Corp. is a mineral exploration company focused on advancing the Adelita Project, located in the prolific Arizona-Sonora copper belt. The project hosts the high-grade Cerro Grande Cu-Ag-Au skarn discovery, part of a significant corridor. Preliminary data suggests a potential porphyry system at depth.
