Algo Grande Copper confirms new copper-silver-gold zone in Mexico

Algo Grande Copper Corp. has confirmed a new copper-silver-gold mineralized zone in drill hole AG-CG-PH2-002 at its Adelita Project in Sonora, Mexico. The discovery extends the known Cerro Grande skarn system and demonstrates its vertical continuity, according to the company.

The new, previously unreported mineralized zone spans 38.20 meters, averaging 1.0% copper equivalent (CuEq). This new zone was intersected approximately 67 meters below a previously identified 30.23-meter zone averaging 1.5% CuEq. Together, the two zones form a combined mineralized interval of 68.43 meters, averaging 1.2% CuEq.

Drill results also indicate that hole AG-CG-PH2-002 has, for the first time, defined the base of the limestone-skarn package hosting the high-grade mineralization. This contact with underlying granodiorite was encountered at a depth of 364 meters, aiding in refining geological targeting across the broader Cerro Grande area.

The company states that the Cerro Grande occurrence is not a single lens but a multi-horizon skarn system with significant vertical continuity. The mineralization remains open along strike, up-dip, and at depth. Algo Grande Copper is continuing its drilling program to define the extent and potential of the discovery.
